Pelvic Approximation (Rotation)

Description

Pelvic approximation shows how well the pelvis can move independent of the trunk, which gives an indication of deep abdominal activation.

To perform this assessment:

  1. From a lying position, place left foot on the other side of right leg (at about the knee)
  2. Lift the left side of the pelvis upward as far as you can raising the glute off the floor and hold
  3. Repeat on right side and compare the motion between sides
