Trunk Rotation

Description

Trunk rotation shows how well the trunk can move independent of the pelvis, which gives an indication of oblique abdominal activation.

To perform this assessment:

  1. From a seated position, cross arms and lift elbows up to shoulder level
  2. Rotate trunk to the left as far as possible, hold for a second, then rotate to the left as far as possible holding for a second
  3. Compare the motion between sides
