Trunk Rotation w/ Opposite Side Flexion

Description

Trunk rotation w/ opposite side flexion gives an indication of oblique abdominal activation and thoracic spine motion.

To perform this assessment:

  1. From a seated position, cross arms over chest
  2. Rotate trunk to the left as far as possible, then flex to the right as far as possible and hold for a second
  3. Repeat on other side and ompare the motion between sides
