Hip Adduction w/ Internal Rotation

Description

Hip adduction w/ internal rotation shows the ability of the hip to adduct and internaly rotate, which is essential for hip function and gives an indication of adductor muscle activation.

To perform this assessment:

  1. From a lying position, move left leg in line with the midline ofthe body (adduction)
  2. Rotate left foot/knee inward as far as possible and hold for a second
  3. Repeat on right side and compare the motion between sides
