Hip Internal Rotation 90/90

Description

Hip internal rotation shows the ability of the hip to rotate inward, which is essential for proper hip function and gives an indication of hip muscle activation.

To perform this assessment:

  1. From a lying position, bend hip and knee to 90-degrees
  2. Keeping thigh from moving side-to-side, internally rotate thigh (move lower leg outward) as far as possible
  3. Repeat on other side and compare the motion between sides
