Shoulder External Rotation 90/90

Description

Shoulder external rotation shows the ability of the shoulder/arm to externally rotate, which gives an indication of shoulder/rotator cuff muscle activation.

To perform this assessment:

  1. From a lying position, place shoulder and elbow at 90-degrees
  2. Move hand backward-downward toward the floor as far as possible 
  3. Repeat on other side and compare the motion between sides
