Trunk Rotation

Description

To Perform this PIC for Right Trunk Rotation:

  1. Move the trunk into its end range rotation position. 
  2. ASSISTIVE technique: place left hand on the right elbow with only enough assistance to keep the trunk in its end range of motion. Perform isometric contraction (trying to move in the same direction) at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
  3. RESITIVE technique:  place right hand on left elbow with only enough pressure to perform the isometric contraction at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
  4. Perform the opposite for Left Trunk Rotation.
