Trunk Rotation w/ Opposite Side Flexion

Description

To Perform this PIC for Right Trunk Rotation / Left Side Flexion:

  1. Move the trunk into its end range position.
  2. ASSISTIVE technique: place left hand on top of the right shoulder with only enough assistance to keep the trunk in its end range of motion. Perform isometric contraction (trying to move in the same direction) at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
  3. RESITIVE technique:  place right hand around the left shoulder with only enough pressure to perform the isometric contraction at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
  4. Perform the opposite for Left Trunk Rotation / Right Side Flexion.
