Trunk Extension

Description

To Perform this PIC for Right Trunk Extension:

  1. Move the trunk into its end range position.
  2. ASSISTIVE technique: place left hand under the chest with only enough assistance to keep the trunk in its end range of motion. Perform isometric contraction (trying to move in the same direction) at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
  3. RESITIVE technique:  hold the end range position without lowering and perform the isometric contraction at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
  4. Perform the opposite for Left Trunk Extension.
