To Perform this PIC for Left Hip Adduction w/ External Rotation:
- Move the hip into its end range position.
- PIC technique: Externally rotate left foot/knee. Place left-foot heel against right foot and perform the following PIC:
- Keeping thigh externally rotated, push left heel into right foot and into the floor with only enough pressure to perform the isometric contraction at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
- Reset the foot into external rotation as far as it can go after each rep.
- Perform the opposite for Right Hip adduction w/ external rotation.
