Hip Abduction w/ Internal Rotation

Description

To Perform Hip Abduction w/ Internal Rotation:

  1. Move the hip into its end range position.
  2. RESITIVE technique:  Abduct and internally rotate leg. Keeping leg internally rotated, perform the following PIC:
    • Press heel of abducted leg down into the floor and outward into your hand with only enough pressure to perform the isometric contraction at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 3-5 seconds between reps.
    • Reset the foot into internal rotation as far as it can go after each rep.
