Hip Adduction and Flexion w/ External Rotation

Description

To Perform this PIC for Left Hip Adduction, Flexion w/ External Rotation:

  1. Move the hip into its end range position.
  2. PIC technique:  Move leg into adduction, flexion w/ external rotation. Then perform the following PIC:
    • Keeping leg in external rotation, place right hand on inside-top of thigh and push up and in to your right hand with only enough pressure to perform the isometric contraction at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
    • Reset the foot into external rotation as far as it can go after each rep.
  3. Perform the opposite for Right Hip adduction and flexion w/ external rotation.
