Hip External Rotation

Description

To Perform Hip External Rotation:

  1. Move the hip into its end range position.
  2. PIC technique:  Move leg into external rotation. Place hand on inner-lower leg and press leg into hand with only enough pressure to perform the isometric contraction at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. 
    • Rest approximately 3-5 seconds between reps.
    • Reset the leg into external rotation as far as it can go after each rep.
  3. Perform the opposite for Right Hip external rotation.
