To Perform Shoulder Horizontal Abduction:
- Move the shoulder into its end range position.
- PIC technique: Hold arm in full horizontal abduction to perform the horizontal abduction isometric contraction at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets.
- Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
- Reset the shoulder into horizontal abduction as far as it can go after each rep.
- If this is too difficult, do this standing with your back to a wall, slightly away from the wall, and horizontally abduct arm against a wall.
