Shoulder Horizontal Abduction

Description

To Perform this PIC for Left Shoulder Horizontal Abduction:

  1. Move the shoulder into its end range position.
  2. ASSISTIVE technique: place an object under left arm at the right height to provide only enough support to perform the horizontal abduction isometric contraction at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
  3. RESITIVE technique:   hold left arm in full horizontal abduction to perform the horizontal abduction isometric contraction at 10-20% for 3-6 sec x 3-6 sets. Rest approximately 5 seconds between reps.
  4. Perform the opposite for Right Shoulder horizontal abduction.
